BFF works with local community groups and organizations to reach all audiences and groups for inclusion in festival and year-round community screenings and events. Year-round programs are in partnership with organizations like Thaden School, The Momentary, NWA Council, and Downtown Bentonville, Inc.

We are thrilled to bring back two crowd favorites from this year’s Bentonville Film Festival for the Welcoming Week audience: Family Tree (director, Jennifer MacArthur, screening Sept 13-22) and All Happy Families (director, Haroula Rose, screening Sept 13-19). Family Tree

Synopsis: A documentary exploring sustainable forestry in the American South through the stories of two Black families fighting to preserve their land and legacy. Family Tree’s cinéma vérité approach reveals the vast task of maintaining the land while navigating challenging family dynamics, unscrupulous developers, and changing environmental needs. The forest itself and the beauty of its changing seasons become a primary character in this family drama.
