Desi, a young girl from Boca Chica, Dominican Republic, is drawn to music by a famed ancestor. Her brother Fran, who lives in New York is pursuing his music while struggling to make ends meet. Cousin Elvis’ return for his wedding reveals his sinister business plans which entail child prostitution. Desi is at a crossroads by finding her voice among a group of underground rap artists, and romantic interest Raul. Amidst threats, Desi navigates a path of self-discovery and resilience.
