THE BALLAD OF TITA AND THE MACHINES (Director, Miguel Angel Caballero) – An elderly fieldworker, reluctantly hires an AI humanoid to fill in for her picking strawberries, she attracts the engineers’ attention because their humanoids cannot do her back-breaking work.
THE BULLFIGHTER (Director, Giselle Bonilla) – A farcical comedy about ex-bullfighter, Felipe Fernando de la Fernand, a once extraordinary figure now trapped in an ordinary world.
CANYON CHORUS (Director, Chris Cresci) – Set against the backdrop of Desolation Canyon, UT, Mikah Meyer, a world-record traveler and LGBTQ+ advocate, reflects with three close friends and his mentor, Larry Edwards, on their stories and the power of mentorship within the queer community.
FOUR NIGHTS AND A FIRE (Director, Alex Nystrom) – A young Ojibwe photographer stubbornly takes on the responsibility of keeping a sacred fire alive for four consecutive days and nights in mourning of his father.
ORDER FOR PICKUP (Director, Jackie! Zhou) – Trapped in a cycle of work and self-isolation, burnt out Kelsey’s reality starts to blur until an irregular order for pickup disrupts everything.
